Volunteering at
5000 m/s

Volunteer application for the 5000 m/s Music Festival is now open. We offer a wide range of event-related tasks, such as ticket sales, area construction and teardown, working with artists, information services, and for example, merchandise sales. Join us as a volunteer! Knowing Finnish is not necessary.

Arrival

The 5000 m/s Music Festival is held right next to Toijala railway station at the Locomotive Museum (Veturimuseo).

We recommend arriving by train. Train timetables have been taken into account in our festival schedule. Local visitors are encouraged to arrive by bicycle, on foot, or by train from Viiala. There is also plenty of parking available along Ryödintie.

Address: Ryödintie 3, 37800 Akaa. A map link is available at the bottom of the page.

Train timetables can be found at vr.fi.

VAU traffic timetables can be found at this address.

Wristband Exchange

Tickets are exchanged for wristbands at the festival gates upon arrival. The wristband allows you to leave the festival area and return later. We will announce the wristband exchange time and gate opening time closer to the event.

Prohibited Items

Our security staff will perform a safety check upon entry. They will ensure that you are not carrying prohibited items. The following items are NOT allowed inside the festival area:

Your own beverages

- Objects that can cause harm to others or the environment, such as knives, illegal substances, flammable or explosive materials, torches, or weapons

- Sun or rain umbrellas, canopies, or tents that may block visibility

- Camping tables or chairs, or other personal seating such as inflatable beanbags

- Selfie sticks or camera tripods

- Glass items

- Pets (except assistance or working dogs)

- Large backpacks or bags

The final decision is made by security at the checkpoint. Illegal items will be reported to the police. Other prohibited items can be stored in our cloakroom for a fee of €3.

The following items ARE allowed:

- Blankets

- Cameras

- Empty water bottles (a water station is available on site)

- Rain ponchos

Cloakroom

A cloakroom is available at the festival gate for securely storing your belongings.

The cloakroom fee is €3, and each visit to the cloakroom costs €2.

Payment

We accept most payment cards and mobile payment methods, as well as cash.

In the ticket shop, Epassi and Smartum vouchers are also accepted.

Within the festival area, we recommend card payments for smoother transactions.

Accessibility

The Locomotive Museum area is not fully accessible due to uneven terrain and railway tracks. The festival site can be reached via a gravel path.

A wheelchair platform will be provided only at the main stage, Risteysasema, whose audience area is grass.

The Water Tower stage is also on a grassy area.

The Kulttuuripilttuu venue is indoors with a concrete floor, but reaching it requires crossing railway tracks.

Our staff is happy to assist if you need help moving around the area.

Accessible parking is located very close to the festival gates at the station’s park-and-ride area.

For accessibility inquiries, please contact: 5000.fest@5000.fi

Cleanliness and Recycling

We care about our event environment and our planet, so let’s keep the festival area tidy and recycle our waste responsibly.
